FAQ
Real questions, answered plainly.
What happens when my schedule blows up a week?
You change the roster with a couple of taps, and the plan rebuilds around what's actually true now. The week that broke isn't recorded as a debt. It's carried forward, and the next week starts from reality, not from the plan's feelings.
What if I stop for two weeks?
The ledger keeps your numbers and waits. When you come back, it reopens conservatively, lighter than where you left off on purpose, and rebuilds from there. Nothing turns red while you're gone.
I'm too wrecked after shifts to train. Is this realistic?
It's the exact case the app is built for. In a published survey of medical residents, the people who cited “no time” actually exercised more than those who didn't. What separated the people who stopped was fatigue: 44% versus 18%. Fatigue is a programming problem, so The Ledger programs for it: protected recovery days after a run of nights, hold days with eased loads, and a fifteen-minute floor session for the worst days. A planned move, not a consolation prize.
Why are there no streaks?
Because your schedule breaks them, every time, and then the app blames you for the schedule. A run of nights is not a moral event. The Ledger counts what's honest instead: planned sessions this rotation. 4 of 5 reads as exactly what it is.
I work nights. Does it actually understand that?
Yes. Runs of nights are treated as load, not laziness. The first day off after a run is protected for recovery (that's where fatigue peaks), short sessions land between shifts only if you want them, and the heavier work waits for the days that can carry it.
I'm not a nurse. Can I use it?
Yes. It's built nurse-first because rotating twelves are the hardest schedule a training plan can survive, but the roster layer works for EMS, fire, factory rotations, closing shifts, or a plain 9 to 5. If your week is ordinary, the plan is simply ordinary too.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the founding period: free while the first hundred people shape it. No card, no trial countdown. When that changes, it will say so here first, plainly.
Is my data private?
It starts on your phone and stays there until you sign in; sync is under your account only; the AI coach never sees your name; deletion is real. The longer answer is on the Privacy & your data page.
Is this medical advice?
No. It's a training log with a plan inside. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and it's not a substitute for a clinician.
